World Aero’s commercial aircraft wheel and brake repair and overhaul capabilities include units from Collins Aerospace (formerly Goodrich), Honeywell, Meggitt (formerly ABSC & Dunlop) and Safran (formerly Messier-Bugatti-Dowty).
Our workshops repair and overhaul a vast selection of wheels and brakes for a varied customer base that expects the best. Consistent quality, service levels and pricing underpin our streamlined and flexible processes. This enables us to efficiently manage on-going programmes for some of the world’s largest low-cost carriers, to bespoke one-off solutions for aircraft spares providers.
We can do volume: Since 2011 we have routinely overhauled up to one hundred wheels per week for one of Europe’s largest and most demanding airlines. We can demonstrate attention to detail: attested by the fact that this same operator has never returned a single unit under warranty. To carry out this volume of work to this level of quality, World Aero has a modern, clean and well laid out workshop featuring a great amount of specialist tooling and equipment. As a measure of our commitment to service levels, we have duplicates of all workshop equipment (bead-breakers, torquing equipment etc). In fact, for some key areas we have even a triple-layer of redundancy, such as: NDT scanners and paint-removal media blasters.
We offer Cost-Per-Aircraft-Landing (CPAL), fixed price per event, labour only, as well as Time & Materials repair pricing models.
Being a truly independent MRO, World Aero is free from the pressures from any one OEM. Therefore we can be dedicated to our customers, who are of course, the end-users of the wheels and brakes.
